Our holiday house in Tuscany is located in the valley  of "La Svizzera Pesciatina" , a hilly and mountainous area of particular charm, green and richly forested.  "La Svizzera Pesciatina" is located above Pescia, between Lucca and Florence, at a short distance to the most famous art towns of Tuscany but at the same time enclosed into the unspoilt natural landscape.

Scattered throughout "La Svizzera Pesciatina" are 10 medieval villages: Pietrabuona, Vellano, Medicina, Aramo, Fibbialla, Sorana, San Quirico, Castelvecchio, Stiappa and Pontito. They are made in pietra serena stone which was of great importance during the Middle Ages and are all well preserved . This is a place were time stands still with a peacefull atmosphere. 

The villages can be reached by old walking paths or local roads, and the panoramic views are amazing from here. Some villages have their own typical restaurant that welcomes tourists and makes them feel at home.
